About Local Groups

We want to help people find and build local community, in a way that doesn't cost organizers a lot of money.

We don't seek to be a social network or an organizing platform. We just want to help people meet in real life, and build community around shared interests.

We also hope to be free for mutual aid and community assistance organizations and groups. Contact us: feedback@localgroups.org

Here you can build community:

1. Create a group around an interest or activity
2. Schedule events for your group
3. Join existing groups and RSVP to events

We aim to be:

• Affordable for organizers and members
• Free of all advertisements
• Free of privacy violating trackers

We plan to charge enough to cover costs, with a little extra for future enhancements:

• $20 per year to create a group
• $5 for group members who want email notifications or iCal links
